A place to be inspired by

Set in the ancient town of Rye & inspired by its surrounding countryside

Heritage

Rye is a medieval hill town & castle with ancient maritime history. Cobbled streets and narrow passages reveal architectural treasures among beautifully preserved Medieval, Tudor and Georgian buildings. Many are open to the public as fine restaurants, tearooms or pubs.

FOOD & DRINK

A wonderful array of places to eat and drink in Rye. From a vast number of quirky pubs to cafes and modern hotel bars and restaurants. Rye has it all. We even have a Scallop Festival (February) and Wild Boar Week (October).

Arts & Crafts

You’ll find quality independent retailers not seen in anonymous shopping centres. Luxury products, antiques, books, records and artisan goods are Rye’s speciality. Art and photography galleries are evidence of a flourishing creative community.

MUSIC

A vibrant music scene reflecting the long relationship with Rye and surrounding area for artists and musicians drawn to this place to work, be inspired and perform. We have a number of music festivals through the year showcasing classical, contemporary,&  jazz music.
